Behind the book

Sharing Behind the Book, behind-the-scenes images of the creation of the book. No AI, just pure mess of paper, glue, paint, fur, scissor-induced action, painting, drawing, photographing it all. (No red tape included here, although it was a very painful part! I'm a one-man show! Well... My lovely teenager carefully packs all the orders but we do not count that!)

Planets. My favorite part because somebody told me i got the planets out of order. Sorry, teachers! They were already glued, photographed and I just laughed!

Books. The first spread is the book's scene and it's by far the most intense in terms of labor: hand-crafted books, hand-sewn couch, etc.

Fleas....

Bath. All pages started with crazy-looking sketches in either Raygun (fun covers ever!) or Denik sketch books(shout-out, guys! love the lay-flats!)

Kitchen. Quite a few of the things I photographed in progress didn't make it to the final book, which is part of the work & selection of the pieces and I appreciate it. I included the photo that inspired me to make this page spread LOL
